Build your village on a hillside using layered dirt terraces. Each level can host a small house, farm plot, or animal pen. Connect terraces with winding paths, stairs, and wooden bridges.

This design feels organic and makes excellent use of elevation. Add waterfalls or dripstone caves between layers for extra realism.
