2. Floating Mushroom Island Portal
For an enchanting aesthetic, build your Nether Portal on a floating mushroom island. First, create a small floating island using dirt or mycelium blocks, then grow giant mushrooms atop it. Hang vines or chains around the edges to make it appear suspended in the air. A portal in the middle creates the illusion of stepping into another dimension from a mystical island.
Survival tips: Cobblestone pillars can support your floating island during construction, and you can remove them later. Using slabs under mushrooms prevents mobs from spawning nearby.
