7. Specimen Jar Shelving
Turn your bathroom shelving units into a mad scientist’s laboratory display. Gather assorted glass jars of various shapes and sizes, filling them with water dyed with green, yellow, or blue food coloring. Submerge creepy plastic items inside, such as faux eyeballs, plastic spiders, pickled brains, or rubber bats. Label each jar with aged parchment paper and handwritten cursive descriptions. Light the shelves from behind using a strip of green or purple LED lights to make the specimen jars glow brilliantly in the dark, casting a mad-science radiance over the entire room.
