16. Giant Pixelated Spider on the Roof
Make a massive statement by mounting a giant, blocky spider onto your roof or garage door. Construct the body using two large black cardboard boxes—one for the head and a larger one for the abdomen—and craft the eight legs out of long, bent black cardboard tubes or pool noodles wrapped in black tape. The defining feature of this setup is the eyes: paint eight glowing red circles on the front box, using red reflective tape or small red LED lights so the spider’s gaze gleams menacingly in the dark.
