Eerie Glowing Eyes in the Bushes
Keep an eye on your neighborhood—literally—with this simple, brilliant, and low-cost outdoor decoration. Glowing eyes hidden in your front bushes or hedges create the unsettling sensation that mystical creatures are watching from the shadows. This project is incredibly easy to make using cardboard toilet paper rolls, scissors, and colorful glow sticks.
Cut various shapes of spooky, glowing eyes—such as cat eyes, monster eyes, or alien slits—into the sides of the cardboard tubes. Once night falls, activate a glow stick (red, green, or yellow work wonderfully) and place it inside the tube. Tape the ends of the tube shut to contain the light, and tuck them deep into your bushes or trees. The dark cardboard blends into the foliage, leaving only the vibrant, glowing eyes visible to passersby.
