Haunted Mirror with Ghostly Apparitions
Turn an ordinary wall mirror into a portal to the spirit world. Using semi-transparent frosted glass spray paint or a specialized mirror-effect spray, you can transfer a faint, ghostly silhouette onto the back of a glass pane, or apply a decal of a Victorian spirit to the front of the mirror. When the room is brightly lit, the mirror looks completely normal. However, when the lights are dimmed and a small light source is placed behind or angled toward the decal, a chilling, spectral figure appears to emerge from within the glass.
Enhance the antique look by distressing the frame with dark wax and draping it in tattered grey cheesecloth that mimics old, decaying cobwebs. Write a cryptic, dripping message like “Help Me” or “Look Behind You” in red lipstick or washable paint on the corner of the glass. It is a subtle, psychological scare that will make your guests double-take every time they check their reflection.
