16. Decoupage Chevron Serving Tray
A tray is one of the most versatile decor accents in a Deco-inspired room, serving as a stylish base for perfumes on a vanity, drinks on a coffee table, or mail on an entry console. Build or upcycle a plain wooden tray with high side walls. Print or source high-quality Art Deco pattern paper featuring metallic foil chevrons, fan motifs, or step-line geometry. Apply a generous layer of decoupage medium (such as Mod Podge) to the tray bottom, carefully pressing down the paper to eliminate wrinkles and air pockets. Once dry, seal the paper surface under a crystal-clear layer of two-part pourable epoxy resin. The thick resin layer creates a glass-like, heat-resistant, and completely waterproof finish that amplifies the depth and metallic shine of the paper design underneath.
