Chilling Cemetery Fence and Gothic Gates

19

Frame your entire outdoor display and keep unwanted spirits in (or out) with a chilling DIY gothic cemetery fence. Construct simple fence panels using inexpensive wood furring strips painted matte black. Connect the vertical pickets with horizontal rails, and top each picket with a plastic fence finial painted to look like cast iron. Assemble the panels and secure them into your lawn using rebar stakes.

To make the fence look authentically aged, dry-brush some metallic silver and green moss-colored paint onto the pickets. Drape faux cobwebs, plastic ivy, and Spanish moss over the rails. Place a creaky, partially open gothic gate at the entrance of your walkway, flanked by two stone-painted foam pillars. This elegant boundary adds structure to your yard, transforming it into a cohesive, private haunted estate.
