Creepy Crawly Giant Spider Web and Arachnids

3

Turn the facade of your home into a thrilling arachnophobe’s nightmare with a giant, hand-woven spider web. Using thick, white beef netting or heavy-duty white chenille yarn, stretch the web from your roofline down to your lawn, securing it with sturdy tent stakes. Unlike store-bought webbing that easily tangles and tears, beef netting can be cut to create realistic, tattered holes that look authentically weathered and terrifyingly large.

No giant web is complete without its monstrous creator. Craft a massive spider using black foam pool noodles for the legs, a large painted pumpkin or black balloon for the body, and fuzzy black faux fur to cover the exterior. Position the giant spider near the center of the web, and scatter smaller, glowing-eyed spiders along the porch railings and windows. Illuminate the entire setup with a deep purple or green outdoor spotlight to cast dramatic, elongated shadows across your yard.
