5. Matcha Green Tea Forest Cottontails

Concept & Aesthetics:

A mossy, botanical look combining earthy ceremonial-grade matcha with sweet vanilla spice.

How to Make It:

  • Sift 2 tablespoons of culinary matcha powder into your flour mixture for a vibrant jade-green dough.
  • Fill with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a hint of ginger butter.
  • Shape into full bunny bodies viewed from behind: a large body swirl, a smaller head swirl, and two tiny ear nubs.
  • After baking, pipe a fluffy white marshmallow fluff or vanilla buttercream rosette on the lower half to represent a puffy cottontail.

Tips & Variations:

  • Dust with extra matcha powder mixed with powdered sugar.
  • Fill with white chocolate chips inside the matcha swirls for sweet creamy pockets.
